My Super Sweet Drunken Bridal Shower & bachelorette Party

Ya'll? I feel so loved. The thing about weddings is that most of the time you find out who really isn't a real and true friend to you. That goes for family members too. They really show the absolute worst of themselves when it's supposed to be a happy occasion for you and your beloved.

Well, this weekend I was shown the true meaning of friendship and love. My bestest friends & my coolist family members threw me the a phenomenally classy and fun bridal shower & bachelorette shindig! They were pretty stealth in the way I knew nothing more than the day and when I should be ready. Hurrah! At the appointed time I was chillin and ready. After a bit of a wait I was spirited to an undisclosed location and I was surprised (but not really) to find a roomful of folks waiting to celebrate me! I had so much fun and I smiled so much my face caught a cramp.

Wonderful things were said. Beautiful gifts were given. And ya'll.....I feel so full (I'm actually tearing up a bit as I write this). I'm not used to being the celebrant so it was weird and overwhelming. But I got used to it quickly as they put my tiara on (Hee!) and I gotta tell ya, I look good as royalty. Just sayin. Man I just don't have the words to fully let you know how I felt.

It was just perfect. It's exactly the event I wanted. For the curious, no there were no strippers. Mama doesn't do strippers. The corn quotient is just too high. No matter how greased up and well hung they are. The theme was Sex in the City as you can probably tell and it was super cool. We went to Ava Penthouse at the Dream Hotel after the gifting and love and got crunk and drunk. LOL!!!

For the crew that made it all possible I have nothing but undying love and affection and I want to publicly thank you all for your love, hard work, and persistence in working towards getting me to the alter a happy, healthy, & beautiful bride.
