Today is the one year anniversary of the date that Hurricane Katrina hit land and promptly beat the shit out of the Gulf states. I still feel exactly the same way I did last year when I blessed President Douchebag for being completely clueless and a complete waste of human skin.
All I can do today is say a prayer for those souls who did not survive and for those that are just barely surviving because they are reliving it again and again. I can wish that the folks who are still picking up the pieces of their lives not allow themselves to be used as pawns by the same administration that left you to fend for yourselves. I can hope that this country's notoriously short memory can be spurred on to be reminded that these government motherfuckers just don't care and if it can happen to the people of the Gulf states it can happen to them too.
If you haven't already check out Spike's documentary which will be shown in it's entirety on HBO tonight. It's what's really happening. Not the orchestrated photo ops coordinated by the folks who fail us time and again.
Later.......
