Yeah buddy! I've finally found time to sit and ruminate on Our Big Greek Adventure and I have to say it was by far the most wonderful trip we've been on in ages. Our first stop was Athens. Which by the way that isn't a picture of. The pic above is from Santorini which I'll get to later. We got off of our 10 hour flight from JFK and hit the ground running. We checked in to the Athens Hilton and bombed it to the shops to find my big ass a swimsuit for the other islands were hitting. Surprisingly enough I found one that was neither skanky or ridiculous. Except for the beading that was on it. Beading folks. On a bathing suit? Anyhoo I ended up liking it more than the one I brought with me. No, there will be no pics of me in it. Ever.
We really liked Athens though standing downwind from folks was really hardcore since BO was rampant. The speed of the city was equitable to the frantic nature of NYC. Which is why 2 days there was more than enough. Of course we did the Acropolis and Parthenon thing:

The view from the Acropolis? AMAZING!

We also had dinner and drinks at the oh so fly Galaxy Bar on the roof of the Athens Hilton that had the most awesome view of the city:

And no, despite my wonky looking eyes in the pic I wasn't drunk......yet. The food was off the hook. I had a Greek Salad which as it turns out is full of things I don't like. Mainly tomatoes and olives. But I did love the Feta Cheese. Mmm Feta! Zeen on the other hand loved everything including the honking pile of prawns with the heads and everything still on them that he ordered. I should of took a pic of them but instead I took him smiling like the cheasure cat
We spent a ballerific evening having cocktails and Cohiba cigars with Athens spread at our feet. It was an excellent start to an awesome trip.
Next up Mykonos!
Later........
