The Final Countdown

2011 was a shit year. No fucking lie and I'm gonna revel in its departure later tonight. Seriously, 2011 don't let the door hit your ass on the way out. Good fucking riddence!

Anyhoozer, here are my final entries for the shit year of 2011.

2. I've finally realized that I'm not made for the corporate bullshit and it was a sign (ok, multiple signs) that I kept getting shown the door at the various companies that I had short tenures at. I've begun to make moves to blaze my own path in partnership with my fab Hubby. I've never been happier or more excited.

*Drum roll*


1. 2012 will be the year when I have a baby. My obsession with babies has hit a a fever pitch and it's clearly time. So watch this space for the inevitable neurotic ravings that will fill this joint. Hopefully by this time next year I'll have a beautiful and healthy little someone other than myself to obsess over.

4. This one isn't new but it bears repeating: I have an amazing husband. He has been a rock star throughout all the sad bitch parties about not working, complaints about stupid bird bitches when was working and the epitome of calm when I got fired for the umpteenth time.  He's the absolute best and I'm so lucky to have him.

Continuing the countdown of random shit I did and learned, here are today's entries.

6. I learned that just because you've decided to over look the fact that someone you are cool with has asshole tendencies it doesn't mean you should keep them in your life because they're your favorite asshole. Especially when you've been splashed with their brand of assholishness one time too many.

5. I have embraced the fact that Black don't crack and I'm gonna ride that shit til the wheels fall off. I am 37 and fabulous and I intend to remain fabulous no matter my age.

Countdown

'Tis the season for countdown lists of all stripes. In the spirit of all the year-end countdown lists floating around I decided to do one of my own. So til the end of the year (basically til the end of the week) I'm doing a countdown of random shit I learned and did this year. Ready? Here goes:

10. I found out it's possible to get fired from two different jobs at the beginning and the end of the same year.

9. I learned that I am a fuckery magnet. Especially in a professional setting.
