I'm starting to see an increase in the number of Assholes/Dumbasses in positions of authority & influence. There are many in my office and we have one as president that folx said they wanted for another 4 years. This trend bodes ill for folx with a minimum of sense. It's sort of a fad now. It's ok to be as mediocre as possible. Dumb yourself down and you'll get by. If you are a public official it's perfectly acceptable to be completely lacking in analytical skills and a complete robot. Emotion is not welcome unless it's in the form of a rousing speech about nothing filled with bullet pointed catchphrases. And even then it's questionable.
Where does this leave smart, exceptional people? In the margins I suppose. It's so lame. We're breeding a generation of Sheeple. Where does that leave the future? In the crapper.
