Chillin & The Holidays

Is what I've spent much of my weekend doing. Winter is officially here and that means holidays and toasty warmth at the crib. I'm so over the holidays this year that I'm opting out. Which means I will cook my own Thanksgiving dinner this year that will guarantee no disappointment. No random meats, no stuffing with too much stuff in it, an actual pie of some sort.

It will be the meal that I (& Zeen) prepare with our own hands. Which we will enjoy (hopefully) and share with my extended friendship fam if they want to come thru. Cause I'm not trying to deal with my family this year. They bring me down and I'm not trying to be brought down. I will not provide company for the misery that they stroud themselves in for no good reason. So fuck it. If my siblings & cousins want to come thru, they are more than welcome. Other than that, forget the rest of them.

I'm actually looking forward to it. Meanwhile, it's T-minus 12 days til my 30th birthday. I'm looking forward to it. Seriously. I'm pretty much where I want to be. I have so much to be grateful for. I have a man who loves me and provides for me (that sounds gross but he does) with his full heart. I have wonderful friends. I have siblings who look up to me.

I really can't complain. Some folks don't have half of what I do.

So hello 30 and welcome, I look forward to meeting you.

Later.................
