So me and Ang and Copyranter roll to this shindig for some blogger lady's birthday last night at CBGBs Lounge. As I had never been to the joint before I was ready for an experience. There were all the accoutrements of a spot that has the history of a CBGBs. There were alternative types, rocker types, heroin nodding type and by far the most uninteresting type of all.....The Blog Hoe.
A Blog Hoe by my definition is a person who has a blog and attends all events having anything to do with bloggers or blogging. They sweat themselves and attempt as much as possible to attain undeserved big ups. They are usually lapsed nerds who have managed to reinvent themselves as hipper than thou hipster doofuses.
This an somewhat interesting creature because of the desperation that practically oozes from them like sonic waves.....love me....pay attention to me......come look at my page....i'm cool, really I am. And Blog Hoes take this shit seriously. Very seriously. But what does that say about me for going to one of these things?
It says absolutely nothing because I know I'm cool.
Did I mention there were titties? There were. There was an old school burlesque show with chicks with pasties and everything. I gave those tittays 4 thumbs down. Exposed breasts still couldn't make this party any more interesting.
On the upside, I got to hang with Copyranter who is a bunch of funny and smart especially when he's on a rant. Just effin brilliant! I also got to see the KC again and I met The Assimilated Negro and yep he's pretty assimilated. I also met this girl who's read my page and my bridal site and it was super weird meeting someone who reads my blog who is a total stranger to me. She was sort of intense too. Kind of off putting. Meh.
I got shitfaced (Good lucking 'ranter) and I stumbled out of the joint & into a car like the Uppity Negress that I am. It was all in a night's fun. Ya'll? I think I'm a member of the bloggeratti. How did that happen?
