Today is the first day back from the holiday and at first I was all Woo Hoo about the shortened work week then I realized it's a bunch of bullshit. I find that the shorter the week, the longer it feels. Today is Wednesday so hump day yes? Yeah, no.
It's a giant fucking hump. It feels like I've been here for 7 hours and it's only 10:38. *Sigh* I wish there was a way that I could take the summers off like they do in Europe. Because on the real no one really works in the summer. Their bodies come in everyday but the brain is elsewhere.
My mind has already left for my honeymoon. Also, this marriage stuff is good. I like it. Me and Zeen are the same but different. It's like I've got a new pair of eyes and I see him differently. He's more awesome than usual to me and I love it.
I went to my first wedding this weekend as a married woman and I gotta tell ya it's sorta nice. It was nice to just be a guest and know ain't nobody payin me no attention so it didn't matter that my shoe broke. Or that I looked like a drowned cat due to the humidity or that my deodorant failed miserably.
None of it mattered because I was just a guest who was free to drink her ass off at the martini bar during the cocktail hour and marvel at the beauty of DivineLadi and her new husband. And she was amazing. It was so awesome to see them declare their love for each other and provide us an opportunity to celebrate them by droppin it like it's hot. Cause you know we did.
