MJ & Responsibility

My response to Tasha's blog:

I'm with you on that shit. Even if he wasn't MJ, I wouldn't let my kids lay up with some 46 year old man. No one ever asked the question that needed to be asked, WHAT THE FUCK KIND OF PARENT LETS THEIR KIDS CHILL WITH SOMEONE WHO WAS ACCUSED OF THIS SAME SHIT IN THE PAST?

Everyone is laying blame everywhere except on the parents. I'm sick of it. I'ma blog about this shit.


So here I am blogging about the shit. In case you've been living under a rock, Michael Jackson has been acquitted of 14 counts of child molestation. All the usual talking heads are flapping their jaws about how the justice system doesn't work. Certain folk in my office have been riffing about it. Yada, yada, yada. Well here's what I say to that:

So muthafuckin what.

That's right so fucking what. I'm not even going to "play the race card" on this because we all know that it's very much in play already. I haven't followed the media swarm of garbage because it's always skewered to move the most product. It's mostly yellow journalism about bullshit. Never mind that the current administration's hands are covered in the blood of young men and women who are fighting in the name of god knows what. Never mind that young folks won't have summer jobs and that 50 percent of the Black men in this city aren't working. That shit ain't important. What's important is that an oatmeal colored Black man may or may not have diddled some kids. The real news has been reduced to a scrolling ticker to further dumb down the attention deficit population.

What I would like to know is when responsibility will be doled out? When will the media be held accountable for actual news? It's a damn shame when the most real news comes from a fake news show. When are people going to be held accountable for the shit they do? Where it's defrauding investors and employees to fatten your pockets (Yeah you fucking Enron!) or Pimping your children for hoped for financial fortification (Yeah I'm looking at you parents of the kids victimized by the R&B singer who likes to pee on the kids).

I'm sick and tired of stupid motherfuckers doing stupid shit and doing a mea culpa and becoming revitalized in their careers. I'm sick of this ass backward society we live in. With stupid bitches at the top and smart people at the bottom getting stupider as they climb to the top.

As for MJ, there's an 8 year old Thriller fan inside of me who can't believe that he'd harm a kid. Not as much as they love him. It just doesn't ring true. But the existing 30 year old woman is having problems believing that a 46 year old man has any business polying with 11 and 13 year olds. Damn dude, if you're guilty you dodged a bullet again. If you're innocent, for the love of all that's holy get a grown up's house and stop playing with kids. Shit!

I'm done ranting.
