And hur-motherfucking-rah to that.

Yeah so I was on the train taking breaks from reading my Six Feet Under recap from Television Without Pity and I noticed this dude sitting in one of those two seater joints next to this lady. He was straight staring at the crotch of the woman standing in front of him.
My random thoughts were:
- WTF! Is he looking at that chicks crotch? Um, ew.
- I'm happy as hell that I have an iPod so I don't have to hear anything these folks have to say.
- Wait, is crotchboy with old girl sitting next to him (he kisses her before de-training)? She looks about a hundred years old. There's someone for everyone. Ugly people need love too.
- It's 8:15 am and I'm sweating like a slave. Unacceptable
- I'm sleepy
And I'm still sleepy and coffee isn't getting it. I want desperately just to go home and lie down. Zeen is home from work today too. Lame! I should be home chillin too. Balls!!!

Yesterday Lala and I went to see Lizz Wright at the World Financial Center. Lizz was all kinds of awesome. Her voice is like melting butter and she is lovely to look at. She had on this hot dress that I'm seriously trying to bite. Anyhoo, me and Lala were sitting and chillin watching the show and this quartet of gay Hipster Nimrods came and seated themselves and proceeded to annoy the shit out of Lala & I.
What is a Hipster Nimrod you ask? A Hipster Nimrod is a person usually male, who is unbearably hip to the point of having every outfit being a study in trendiness. Usually incorporating what ever trend is hot at the moment (i.e. ironic T-shirts, pink anything, stripped shirts, etc.). They are often unapologetic metrosexuals who are more put together than most women. They are often creative types or faux creative types who are really on the bottom rung at the record label/magazine/internet company they work for.
The nimrod part comes in the way that most of the time they are ginormous assholes. Smug in their hippness since more likely than not they were blazing nerds in high school. Loud, snarky and all around corny, they lord their trendy nimrodness on the folks they consider their underlings because of their lack of obvious trend chasing.
Anyhoo, this bunch sat their gay stereotypical selves down and commenced to much finger snapping and "you betta work"-ing. Despite them, Lala and I thoroughly enjoyed Lizz's show despite the fact that she admittedly wasn't a good between song chatter. She comes off as a shy woman with a big talent that just couldn't be hidden. When she sang you can see how possessed she was by what she was doing. It was a pleasure to watch.
It must be nice to be engulfed in the thing you love most. I'm gonna know how that feels one day.
Later..........
